With the all the zeal of the newly converted I went out first thing this morning to clear away the snow from my superdeluxe bird feeder and make sure that there was plenty of food available for my little feathered friends. Despite it still being quite early I was almost instantly rewarded by a whole host of visitors. Flocks of bluetits, a dunnock or two, blackbirds, robins, starlings and sparrows. Oh and the magpie stopped by too but didn't hang around very long.I managed to get a photo of this little chap as he perched on a branch at the bottom of the garden his red breast contrasting with the snow in the background.
