To Preston Brook

It was only 10.30am but these fellas looked as if they were going to have a fun day.
 A beautifully presented boat.
This lovely Welshman was out painting his boat and hoping for some dry weather.
First timers who got stuck trying to turn their boat around.
This lovely couple from Yorkshire helped them get on the straight and narrow again.

The white house on the right is called Gauge Cottage and at this point on the canal there was a gauging dock where boats were measured and weighed to determine tolls. On the left you can just see a warehouse building which has now been converted into canalside apartments.

A very contented man at peace with his pipe. He told me that he had two four pound bream in his keep net and was confident that he would win the match.
